Below are the school-wide expectations for all scholars at Woodfield:
Be Safe
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be a Confident Learner
During the first few weeks of school, we will discuss the expectations of technology use. Students will take their Chromebook home at the end of each school day and return it the following school day. Please plan for an appropriately sized backpack to accommodate the Chromebook. The Chromebook should be charged each night prior to your child bringing it to school. Chargers should be left at home for nightly use. It is important for students to understand that Chromebooks are to be used for educational purposes to complete their academic responsibilities.
As a classroom community, we will be establishing our expectations for one another during the first weeks of school. We will create a social contract and mission to promote positive interactions with each other. If students choose not to follow our mission and school-wide expectations, we will follow the steps below:
Redirect
Student is given the opportunity to make a better choice after being given a verbal reminder.
Reflect
Student is given the opportunity to reflect on their behavior choices and have a short conversation with the teacher to make a plan for improved future behavior.
Reteach
Student is given the opportunity to review and practice meeting the expectations and mission. Parent contact will be made to explain the behaviors that needed to be retaught.
When students are following school-wide and classroom expectations, they have the opportunity to earn Cat Cash. Students can use their Cat Cash to purchase rewards from the school store and the classroom.
