Sloan Allen, Director of Curriculum and Student Growth

The Allen Family...

I'm blessed to have a wonderful family. My wife Laura, sons Trevor & Travis, daughter Jossilyn and I moved to Waterford in 2012. We absolutely fell in love with the community! Laura, who taught in the classroom for 10 years can often be seen volunteering her time in our kids' classrooms. Trevor enjoys playing chess, soccer and watching the Star Wars movies. Jossilyn is active in gymnastics, basketball, softball, theatre and will be starting horseback riding lessons very soon! Travis loves to be involved with anything that uses a ball! He enjoys playing basketball, golf and finished his second season of coach pitch baseball.

As I start my third year as the Director of Curriculum and Student Growth, I look forward to the continued collaboration with our outstanding staff, wonderful parents and fantastic community of Waterford. Our school district is first-rate filled with great kids, families and strongly supported by the community! I'm blessed to work and live here!

I'm currently pursuing my PhD and superintendent's licensure through the University of Madison. I earned my Master's in Administration from Chicago's National Louis University and earned my undergraduate degree in elementary education from The University of Carroll (where Laura and I met) in Waukesha.

Before joining Waterford, I was the Director of Teaching & Learning and the Assistant Principal of Union Grove Elementary. Prior to administration I worked for 13 years as a 6-8 classroom teacher in Sheboygan Falls and Pewaukee.
