Institutional Scholarships

All colleges and universities have scholarships that are offered specifically through their institution.  Many of the deadlines for these scholarships are in the fall and begin as early as October.

You may review the following document to see more information and links to the top 15 colleges and universities attended by WHS/WIA graduates. Please do further research at other institutions you are interested or for additional scholarships at these institutions.  This link is not intended to be a comprehensive list but rather a starting place.

Scholarship Interest Form 2024-2025 

Seniors: Please fill out the above google form to assist student services and the scholarship committee. We use that information to assist you with your postsecondary planning and applications.  This form is also helpful in reviewing students to be considered for scholarships that require school nominations, such as the Morehead Cain at UNC-CH, the Roan scholarship at ETSU, or the Belk scholarship at Davidson College.  Information collected on this form is kept private.

Local Scholarships

Information about local scholarships will be released in January.  All local scholarships will be posted on this website and an email will be sent to seniors and parents each time there is an update.  Please contact Ms. Catherine House, Scholarship Coordinator, and your individual caseload counselor (see below If you are unsure of who your counselor is) if you should have any more specific questions about a particular scholarship.
