Commission on crime prevention and criminal justice
Allie is a a current student at Seattle University who is studying both Politcal Science and Criminal Justice. She currently works for the Seattle University Law School and is interning for the U.S. Department of Justice. She hopes that our delegates have a great time at WASMUN and takes away a new love for Model UN.
Mckayla is a current student at the University of Washington who is studying Communications; Political Science; and Law, Societies and Justice. Her advice for new delegates is to read the committee overview to help draft resolutions. Also, don't hesitate to ask the dais for help when writing those resolutions!
Commission on the status of women
Shubha is a current undergraduate student at the University of Washington who is studying Economics.
Isabel is a current undergraduate student at the University of Washington who is studying International Studies with a minor in Italian. She hopes that each delegate participates in the spirit of diplomacy and leaves the conference having learned at least one new thing.
General Assembly second committee
Timmy is a current undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia who is studying Honors Political Science with International Relations.
Kritika is a current undergraduate student at the University of Washington who is studying International Studies and Linguistics. She joined the WASMUN team because she loves Model UN and wants to make a positive impact on the dais and hopes to inspire students to continue MUN in college.
Rohan is a current undergraduate student at the University of Washington who studies Marketing and Psychology.
International Atomic energy agency
Andrew is a current student at the University of Washington who is studying Public Health. He joined the WASMUN team to give back to the MUN community and hopes that at this conference, delegates are able to say that they improved their skills in diplomacy and public speaking, and that they had a fun time.
Gargi is a current student at the University of Washington who is majoring in Biochemistry. She hopes that delegates walk away with confidence in their knowledge of international policies and a sense of achievement for formulating ideas and providing solutions to globally pressing issues.
International court of justice
Julie is a current student at the University of Washington who is studying both International Studies and Political Science. She joined the WASMUN team because she's really passionate about Model UN and wants to give high school students an idea of what collegiate Model UN is. She hopes that students become passionate about MUN and continue it in college.
Peter is a current undergraduate student at the University of Washington who is studying Environmental Science.
Susie is a current student at the University of Washington who is studying Political Science with a minor in Spanish. She works part time outside of school and her advice for first time delegates is to relax and have fun.
Ryan is a current student at Seattle University who is studying Political Science and Psychology. He's being participating in MUN for over 4 years and hopes that at this conference delegates leave with a positive experience that makes them want to come back and continue doing MUN.
United Nations environment assembly
Tiffany is a former WASMUN Secretary-General who has staffed nearly 20 conferences across the country. After graduating UW with a degree in Law, Societies and Justice, she now works at a construction litigation firm. She advises new delegates to ask questions, be social, and not to fear the dais.
Soleil de Zwart
Soleil is a junior studying International Relations and Creative Writing at Western Washington University. Soleil speaks three languages and loves to read and write; she's currently editing an online news outlet and working on a novel. She recommends that new delegates remember to stick to their country line and to make friends.
Rochelle is a freshman at UW, majoring in Journalism and International Studies. She works at the UW's student newspaper, The Daily, and enjoys going to the beach and trying new restaurants. Rochelle wants new delegates to take risks and always add their name to the speaker's list.
Abigail is a UW freshman seeking an engineering degree. She works as a math tutor and enjoys spending her free time hiking and rock climbing. Abigail wants delegates to speak their minds and learn as much as possible from the conference.
Katherine is a sophomore at UW majoring in International Relations and minoring in China Studies. She works as a writer at the UW's student paper, The Daily, and enjoys playing piano, film analysis, and board games. Katherine hopes that delegates leave WASMUN with a wider global perspective and enhanced skills.
Marissa is a UW sophomore studying Political Science and Environmental Science. She hopes that WASMUN delegates can use the conference to learn the subtle balance between teamwork, communication, and fighting for what's right. In her free time, Marissa enjoys sleeping, drinking tea and going to the gym.
