SHORT BIO INTRO FOR Physical Education: As a young kid I remember watching the Olympic Games with my parents. The throwers and Power-Lifters really fascinated me and I loved particularly watching the Discus, Shot, and Hammer Throw. I watched Mac Wilkins get the Gold Medal and dreamed of one day getting the GOLD! I enjoyed long jump as well and made my goal as an 8 year old kid to win all the events. I would run in my yard, jump, and throw stuff. Once in junior high I started throwing the discus and wasn't really Olympic material. I was good enough to get a college scholarship to Washington State University and I headed up to Pullman. Once there I found it tough competing against the massive bigger kids, so my coach told me to try the hammer. I found I was actually naturally good at it and worked up to professional athletics and even made 2 USA teams. One of the coolest things about being a professional was meeting all the former greats. One time, I got to help Olympic Champ Mac Wilkins (Who I watched as a kid) coach his hammer throwers. He even drove to my house a couple times and when he arrived in my driveway I couldn't believe it and scream to my family, "Mac Wilkins is in our driveway!" My little kids said, "Who's that???" I have found that everyone has their own talent and it may not be what they think it is. Hard work always pays off and those that work the hardest always beat those that just have raw talent!

SHORT BIO INTRO FOR US HISTORY: Since I was very young I've been interested in historic artifacts. My father was an antique dealer and by the age of 5 or 6 he was bringing me to antique shows and estate auctions. All of the old stuff always fascinated me and I was excited to learn what those cool things were! At the age of 8 I began visiting coin shops and collecting some of the oldest stuff they had. I would always ask questions, "Where did this come from?" "Who made this coin?" I would wonder where these things came from and what it was like back then. I found it to be an adventure and history class was always my favorite. Little has changed! I love the thrill of discovering more each and every day about countries amazing past and sharing it with the kids at WHS!
