CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - JUNE 5, 2026 - PILGRIM HIGH SCHOOL
Dimeo and their subcontractors are entering the phase of the project where the concrete floors will be poured with concrete ready mix.
This process involves long days and often goes into the late evening hours. If you live near the construction site, you will likely hear noise and may be aware of lights on at the site at night until such time as that concrete placement is complete.
We anticipate this concrete work to start around June 12, 2026, and continue through the summer. The concrete placements are typically spaced out by a few days between placements. We anticipate the last placement of concrete to occur around the end of August. All dates are subject to weather and other variable factors. We typically place concrete during the week and do not anticipate any Saturday concrete placements. We anticipate approximately 12-14 concrete placements will be required to complete this phase of the work.
We have met with Councilman Rix, Dave Testa the Chairman of the Warwick School Building Committee, and a representative of the Warwick Police
Department. They are all aware of the situation and understand that is a necessary requirement of the new high school construction project.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING VIDEOS
Based on Warwick Public Schools’ Recommended Long Term Master Plan, the consultant SMMA's Report and the State’s Facilities Assessment Report, referred to as the Jacobs Report, the School Committee adopted a long term capital improvements plan and established a Building Committee. The adopted plans address the long overdue repairs, maintenance and enhancements to all Warwick school buildings planned to be used by the district for the next 25 years. This website is dedicated to providing the public with timely and accurate information as to the planning, funding and execution of the district’s capital plans.
As bond funds are authorized by the residents of the City of Warwick, the Building Committee is charged with managing all contractor awards during the course of executing the School Committee's approved capital projects plan in the most fiscally prudent manner, while seeking the maximum reimbursement of funds from the state Rhode Island.
For more information on Warwick Public Schools' Bond Project Plans, contact the Building Committee Chairman David Testa.
