Crafts-- Ms. Cuneo Mon, Tues, Wed 9:30-11:00 (4.5 hours)
A crafts class where we use easily found objects to create fun and interactive pieces of artwork. Take a walk outside and see what you can find! What could you turn it into? Use your imagination, and stray away from the obvious... let’s think outside the box.
Book Club-- Mrs. Alexander Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 9:30-11:00 (6 hours)
This class gives you an opportunity to read your Summer Reading Book together with friends and work on the project of your choice! You can be done with your first assignment for the next school Year! We will provide you with your book!
Wareham Pride-- Ms. Zac Mon, Tues, Wed 11:00-12:30 (4.5 hours)
We are going to explore the Cape Verdean/Portuguese heritage of Wareham, while getting to know the history and current everyday life on Cape Verde, and of course, a little bit of Cape Verdean Creole! You can't be from Wareham without knowing/loving at least one person with direct ties to the islands; let's get to know them better!
Science Labs-- Ms. Weintraub Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 11:00-12:30 (6 hours)
Students will use supplies provided to complete hands-on labs at home with guided instruction and examples provided. These labs will be solely hands-on with a focus on physics, biology, earth science, and chemistry.
Art Murals-- Ms. Rosenfield Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs 12:30-2:00 (6 hours)
The Art Murals Class will consist of learning about famous artists: Mexican, Italian, French and American. You will be shown examples of famous paintings and murals along with short videos of the artists and their famous works. You will then draw, and color or paint each picture. You will be able to free draw and produce your own style of artwork, too.
Sewing-- Mrs. Rakoski Mon, Wed 12:30-2:00 (3 hours)
We will make anything possible in sewing . You dream it, we make it!
Cooking-- Mrs. Rakoski Tues, Thurs 12:30-2:00 (3 hours)
We will be making anything easy until you are confident to conquer the world. My lil chefs!
Genealogy & Family History in Wareham-- Mr. Hunter Wed 4:30-6:00 (1.5 hours)
Did you great grandfather March for Civil Rights? Is your heritage linked to Native American Tribes or to the Azores Islands? Do you descend from many of Irish families fleeing the famine? Ready to dive deep into your family tree? We will be making genealogy charts and helping you link your family history to important events in Wareham's long history. This class will include individual directed research assignments that may include using online resources, reading and interviewing skills.
The Great Adventure Role Playing Games-- Mr. Hunter Thurs 4:30-6:00 (1.5 hours)
We will be playing the world's greatest role playing game - Dungeons and Dragons. New and old players welcome. We will be setting sail on the former pirate ship, "the Sea Ghost" to find treasure and adventure beyond using the classic "Sinister Secrets of Saltmarsh" set for 5e. We will be using tabletop miniatures remotely on a table designed for the game. Sign up today!
