⭐SUMMER ART, DRAWING AND PAINTING WITH MR. TRICKER
Hey Art Friends! Let's use our Summer time to continue to learn how to make FUN new drawings and paintings! I will be holding daily Zoom meetings where you will learn different ways to paint and draw. I will continue to create step-by step videos that will be posted on the BST website. New materials will be distributed every week, including but not limited to watercolor pencils, watercolor paints, pencils, paper, markers, crayons and color pencils. Your Art work will be featured in a “Virtual Art Show” on the BST Website. I hope to see you all soon!
⭐GAME MAKERS WITH MRS. TRICKER
Games are so much fun! They help us learn how to be problem solvers, good sports and creative thinkers. Over the course of our 6-week program, students will explore and create a variety of games. Each week will focus on a specific type of game and include exploration and creation of a game project. We will use live 45-60 minute Virtual Meetings 4 days per week to Introduce, Explore, Play, and Share. Students will create their projects using supplied and found materials. Our week will culminate in a Virtual Show and Tell Meeting to present projects to the group. Weekly video lessons will also be available on our website. At the beginning of the program, Students will be provided with a basic Game Maker's Kit. Additional materials will be provided weekly for each specific game type. (Virtual Meeting format may be through Zoom or Google Meets.)
⭐ARTS AND CRAFTS WITH MS. MARTIN
Summer is a great time to make crafts! We will be making easy crafts using materials such as construction paper, tissue paper, popsicle sticks and thing’s found outside. Each class will begin with show and tell where you can share with the group what you have been doing this summer. There will also be free style days where you can use your imagination and create things with just the materials you have in front of you or in your home!
NOON TIME DANCE PARTY WITH MS. FERNANDES
Get out your dancing shoes! a fun way for your child to release his or her stored energy. Not only do we have dancing, but every Thursday is themed Thursday!! A New Theme Every Thursday to dress up. (if you choose) to dance to dance along!! FUN...FUN...FUN!!
MAKING FRIENDS WITH FUN & GAMES WITH MR. PALING AND MRS. SEMPLE
Looking for some fun this summer. How about spending an hour a day meeting and making new friends? In this class, your child will be participating in virtual activities that promote sharing and cooperation, while building positive relationships. During the first half of the class, we will spend time getting to know each other and bonding with activities like Mystery Bag, Show and Tell, or Question of the Day. In the second half of the class we will participate in some fun activities like traveling on Virtual Field Trips, playing Virtual Games, moving with some Physical Education activities, or listening to a Story. .
MATH BUDDIES WITH MS. ST. GERMAINE
Math Groups will allow students to brush up on their math skills. Students will receive support with math facts fluency, explaining math terms, review difficult topics, practice how to dissect word problems, answer any questions they may have, and more. Students will participate in their learning through interactive lessons and math games like toothy, jeopardy, board games, online games, etc.
CRAFTY HANDS AND BRAIN GAMES WITH MRS. RICHARDS AND MRS. WRIGHT
In this class we will do games on Tuesdays games will be BINGO, scavenger hunts, go fish, Pictionary, & headbands. On Wednesdays we will do a craft. Painting, jewelry making, sand art, just to name a few. We will end each zoom with Math flash cards with the children
⭐IMAGINATION STATION WITH MS. TIPTON
Hello Drama friends! I hope you are ready to have some virtual fun with your imagination this summer! Does your child like getting into costume? Acting out? Playing games? Arts and crafts? Reading super silly stories? Then look no further! In this class we will have 4 Zoom meetings weekly where students will be able to interact with one another while partaking in some fun enriching activities such as scavenger hunts, fun games like charades and Headbandz, and crafts like making a shark puppet out of a clothespin! Your student can even take me on adventures with my “Flat Stanley” Ms. Tipton! If they love to dance they’ll love showing off their dance moves in one of our GoNoodles or dance along videos. They will also have the chance to choose their own games or stories they want to listen to and crafts they want to make. Can’t make a Zoom meeting? No worries, I will also have an interactive website where your child can access many drama resources, read-aloud and many other fun activities! The ideas are endless just use your imagination!
ENGINEERING IS ELEMENTARY WITH MS. ST. GERMAINE AND MRS. TUELL
The Museum of Science Engineering (k-2) program will use project based learning and critical thinking skills. Students will learn and create using the engineering design process of ask, imagine, plan, create, and improve. All students will be sent kits weekly with their supplies for each project. Students will possibly meet twice a week for 45 - 90 minutes (length depends on how long it takes to complete activity) on Tuesdays and Thursdays
READING AND NATURE WITH MRS. SPENARD
Reading about different topics having to do with Nature such as rocks, seashells, hermit crabs, beach life, starfish, leaves, insects and birds are some suggested topics. Students will read, watch videos, create Google slides and make a craft about the topic of the week. This class will begin the week with reading material assigned through google classroom about the topic of the week. Students will then take notes and add them to a google slide. Online videos will also be available to watch and learn from as well discussions during the online meet-ups with me 2x a week. Once the Google slide is created, Students will write in their journals about what they have learned.
YOGA WITH MS. STAHMER
Children will have fun with movement as they learn to link postures together to create a flow. Some movements will be to music and others will ignite their imagination as they create stories through their flow. We will focus on breathing techniques, integrating and balancing the mind and body to enhance skills associates with goal setting, gratitude, coping, and anxiety reduction.
SOCIAL TIME WITH MS. PIKE
Learn social skills and work on character building through stories, games, and crafts.
