Welcome to the Musical World of Ware Academy

The music curriculum at Ware Academy is one of a general music nature where students will be introduced to several music concepts to include but not limited to the following: rhythm, melody, form, timbre, expression, music history, social emotional learning and composition. From Pre-K 3 through 8th grade, the students are given age appropriate activities to be done during class. In grades 3 and 4, students begin to learn the discipline of caring for and practicing their own instruments, recorders. This will continue and grow as the children advance in age. Fifth grade students are given more responsibility since this is the year where they transition to upper school. They will be reading and writing music on both the treble and bass clefs. Middle School students choose music as an elective that meets twice a week only for a trimester (9-10 weeks at a time). These classes are geared more to the students as an individual group.

For pictures and videos for specific grade levels as well as a little more about me, please refer to the drop down menu above.

Music is a section of Google Classrooms for Pre K-2nd grade. For grades 3,4,5 and Music Elective, the students will have to log into a separate Google classroom for their music class. Here they will see different assignments or music activities.

The button or link to join the Music Class Google Meet is above. This is for our virtual learners only. Please use the email and password given by Ware Academy to attend.
