Mr. Heck's Classroom

About Me

I was born and raised in Burlington, WI where I grew up in a family of teachers. I graduated from Burlington High School in 2009. While at BHS I was a four year varsity wrestler, played football and was in the school band for two years, and was part of many other groups, including a Southeast Conference Student Leadership Group. After high school I attended the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, where I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Math. While in La Crosse I worked for the Boys and Girls Club and a was member of a diversity group called Leadership in Action, where I was the acting President for two years. After I graduated in December of 2013, I moved back to Burlington where I became a long-term substitute at Karcher Middle School for 7th Grade math and reading. I was hired to teach 6th grade math at Walworth Elementary and Middle School in August 2014. Along with teaching at Walworth, I also coach wrestling and football for Big Foot High School.
