Prairie Animal Interviews (Spring 2019)

Students pulled a list of prairie animals from the text The Buffalo Are Back and created a list of research questions. Each student picked one animal to research, examining its lifestyle and the ways it was affected by settlers coming to the prairie. They synthesized their information to write and record a radio interview with their animals.

Ocean Animals (Fall 2018)

Changes in Ocean Animals: Students selected an ocean animal that goes through changes as it grows up. They learned how to use a research database to get information about their animals and how to take notes on this information. They typed up their findings into a chart using Google Slides.
