Plympton School Library

School libraries teach students to find, evaluate and use good information, to function in a global society, and to read well--as literacy remains the means to becoming an informed and active citizen.

Waltham's Library Program

In 2011, Plympton was named one of 35 "outstanding school libraries in the United States" by the American Association of School Libraries. You can read about our "Vision Tour" visit here on page 10 of the MSLA Forum.

Every library in Waltham is staffed by a licensed school librarian. Librarians in the elementary school co-teach with classroom teachers, visit classes regularly, and foster a love for reading while building students' information seeking skills.
