Originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Keith came to Boston on scholarship to Berklee College of Music where he received a BM in performance. Keith traveled extensively throughout the world for two decades with various bands, and has recorded with Polygram and CBS Records. Road experience includes: First Trumpet / Road Manager / Featured Soloist withThe Artie Shaw Orchestra; First Trumpet / Featured Soloist with The Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Tommy Dorsey, and Xavier Cugat Orchestras. He has also traveled and performed with the bands of:Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Tormé, Rosemary Clooney, Natalie Cole, Vic Damone, Diane Carol, Aretha Franklin, J. Geils Band, The Temptations, Tom Jones, and many others. Keith currently lives in Boston area where he maintains a busy schedule freelancing in Boston’s studios and theaters, as well as doing commercial recordings, and writing. Keith currently performs with and manages The Stardust Band and the Keith Kostick jazz quartet, in addition to teaching both privately and at Northeastern University.
