Toes on the Line

I am the girl in gym class

Who when told to put her toes on the line,

Literally lines them up with the line

For I do not want to get in trouble.

I keep my toes on the line.

I stay on the line to be like everyone else,

But staying on the line is exactly what makes me different.

Because long after gym class is over

My toes are still on the line.
