The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted the health, safety and financial well being of our WCSD community. Our staff, students and families responded in extraordinary ways and quickly adapted to new methodologies of teaching and learning. Health and safety remain our top priority as we implement safeguards to reopen our schools.

We are eager to welcome our staff and students back to our campuses in safe learning environments with rigorous educational opportunities. The purpose of this document provides insight into our “Return to Learn” Plan. We have heavily leaned into the guidance from the Contra Costa Health Services to make decisions.

We would like to thank our staff and families for engaging in surveys, Zoom sessions and committee meetings. Your input helped guide our path forward to make educational decisions that will meet the needs of our families. We understand that it is important to provide choice in order to meet the needs of each family as we strive to engage, inspire and empower all learners.
