Gale in Context: Middle School was created specifically for middle-school students. It combines reference content (like encyclopedia articles) with videos, newspapers, magazines, primary sources, and more. 

Categories cover a range of the most-studied topics including cultures, government, people, U.S. and world history, literature, and scientific topics. 


SIRS Discoverer is designed for elementary and middle school students. It covers many different topics including history, current events, health, science, technology, and more. 

When you find useful research articles, you can save them to your Google Drive as well as get the correct citation in MLA format.


SIRS Issue Researcher provides background and analysis for over 350 current issues society faces. Analysis and opinions cover the pros, cons, and everything in between. 

Each Pro/Con subtopic provides a brief overview, critical thinking questions, timeline, and an instructional research guide. They also include essential questions to guide your research, plus you can connect with your Google Drive to save articles and get your citation information.


National Geographic Kids includes all of the magazine issues from 2009 to the present, as well as books, videos, and images. High-quality informational texts are available for middle school English Language Arts, social studies, and science classrooms.
