WIS's School Play

by Ashlyn Vizian

This year at WIS the play Bye Bye Birdie was played remarkably by director Miss Rad and her amazing cast! I interviewed Miss Rad to get some behind the scenes information about the hard work behind this masterpiece.

AW: “Do you get to choose the play? And if so, what made you want to do this play this year?”

Miss Rad: “I do get to choose! And I wanted to do Bye Bye Birdie because it's something different, something we haven't done before! It's a classical play, we’ve never done it before!”

AW: “How did you decide who got what role?”

Miss Rad: “We do a whole audition thing and depending on who we think fits that role is where they are put.”

AW: “How did you get the music? Was it live or pre- recorded?”

Miss Rad: “It was recorded. We had to play the recording because it came with rights to the play.”

AW: “What was the hardest part of the play and what you and the cast worked on?”

Miss Rad: “The hardest part was putting things together and getting on the stage the night of the play and adding the crew.”

AW: “What was the easiest thing for you and the cast to do?”

Miss Rad: “To have fun!”

That was my interview with Miss Rad! Next time you see her congratulate her because she’s the one who helped make it all happen!
