Problem of the Day:
Dear Ava,
My best friend and I aren’t as close as we used to be. I think she has a new best friend. What should I do?
-From, Lonely
Solution of the Day:
Dear Lonely,
I know it is tough dealing with a falling out with your friends. Here’s my advice: don’t give up on your best friend, since she may feel the same way. But you should also meet some new people and make even more friends. You could definitely still hang out with your friend, but you should also explore people outside of your circle and explore some new friendship circles. That way, if your friend and you do grow apart, you will have another shoulder to lean on.
Advice of the Day:
You may have a little bit of a better time hanging out with people who are like you, and as they say, birds of a feather flock together. But that DEFINITELY does not mean people with totally different interests will not become friends with you. Try exploring many different groups, and see which one you really connect with. Or, become part of TONS of groups. That decision is up to you.
