Dr. Richie Wood is the Ridgeland Lady Panthers fast pitch softball head coach. Coach Wood is in his 41st year of coaching. He has coached softball, baseball, football, golf, basketball and volleyball during his coaching career. He is a 1977 graduate of Soddy Daisy High school where he was a member of the 1977 Tennessee State AAA Championship baseball team. After high school Coach Wood attended Belmont University where he also played baseball and graduated with a degree in biology in 1981. Coach Wood also holds degrees from Trevecca Nazarene where obtained his master's and doctorate in leadership.

Coach Wood was on staff for two Tennessee AAA State Softball Championships in 1991 and 2010. He currently teaches Biology II at Ridgeland High School.

Coach Wade Thomison has been coaching softball for 9 years. Coach Thomison in a 1978 graduate of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School. After graduation he attended the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga where he obtained a degree in criminal justice.

In addition to his role as assistant softball coach at Ridgeland High School, Coach Thomison teaches courses in Law and Public Safety at RHS
