NCEA Level 1 Wood Technology
This course is designed for students wanting to experience basic building construction skills. It covers:
interpreting and using plans, specifications and working drawings related to Level One and Two BCATS projects
carrying out workshop procedures, including safety.
Practical projects include:
folding step stool
cabinet with drawer and door
an outdoor bench seat
If you undertake DVCO standards 91063 and 91068, this course can lead to a National Certificate in Building, Construction and Allied Trades Skills Level 1.

Internal - 3 compulsory, others available
External - 0
Total - Up to 39 credits to choose from
The onsite option of at level two entering the select group who work on the AGC Building Academy on the WHS school grounds
Then further on this can lead to work in building industries through the apprentice system, or other tertiary based courses.
Entry: Successfully completed Year 10 Wood Technology program or Learning Leader’s discretion.
