Year 9 Food Technology
The Year 9 Food Technology course focuses on encouraging innovation and creativity alongside developing your cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen. This course acts as a starter to further Food Technology studies in Year 10. The learning in this course also forms a foundation for future Hospitality studies at senior NCEA levels.
Specifically, you will learn about:
Hygiene & Food Safety
The Science of Food
Food Design
Creating a product
Practical Cookery
This course will lead on to NCEA pathways in Hospitality.
This an open entry course and there are no prerequisites. There is no equipment required.
