NCEA Level 2 Digital Technology
NCEA Level 2 Digital Technology
The Year 12 Digital Technology course requires students to undertake technological practice to create “fit for purpose” digital media outcomes using advanced techniques and processes. As part of this, students plan, develop, test and evaluate prototypes and measure these against the requirements of a brief. Students are encouraged to come up with their own idea as well as choose their own digital media type to create their outcome. This will involve them developing advanced skills in whatever area of Digital technology they choose to work with. This could include web design html/css/javascript, print graphics, game development, animation, 3D modelling and much more.

This course leads to NCEA Level 3 Digital Technology. It is particularly relevant for people wishing to pursue a career in any sort of design field.
This an open entry course and there are no prerequisites, however, Level 1 Digital Technology would be very beneficial.
There is no equipment required, however, your own headphones would be helpful.
