NCEA Level 1 Digital Technology
This course requires students to undertake technological practice to create “fit for purpose” digital media outcomes. As part of this, students plan, develop, test and evaluate prototypes and measure these against the requirements of a brief.
Students will learn how to use design principles and usability heuristics to evaluate existing outcomes as well as designing and developing their own outcome. Students will develop skills in a range of digital media including basic html/css coding, graphic manipulation, programming and 3D modelling and use a range of tools and enhancements within the Adobe CC and other software.

This course leads to NCEA Level 2 Digital Technology. It is particularly relevant for people wishing to pursue a career in any sort of design field.
This an open entry course and there are no prerequisites, however, having completed Year 10 and/or Year 9 Digital Technology would be beneficial.
There is no equipment required, however, your own headphones would be helpful.
