Year 10 Maths

Introduction

The Year 10 Mathematics course is a continuation of our Foundation Mathematics. This course covers the remaining elements of the NZ Curriculum which are necessary in NCEA Level One (list of curriculum prompts in the course outline section). This will also be covering a lot of the content necessary for the Numeracy Examination that as a student you can complete at the end of this year.

This subject offers Numeracy.

Credits available: 10 Numeracy credits through Numeracy Examination

· Hospitality

Students who complete Level 1 Mathematics and Statistics could choose to specialise in either or both disciplines at Level 2.

For students moving into further studies, Mathematics and Statistics provide foundation for:

· Data science and modelling

· Computer science, design and

programming

· Engineering

· Environmental and earth studies

· Finance and social sciences

· Science and technology

· Education
