NCEA Level 3 Travel and Tourism
The Level 3 Tourism course focuses on New Zealand as a tourism destination with the option of looking at tourist attractions and activities in Australia and the Pacific Islands as well.
The number of Māori tourism businesses has increased dramatically over the years and there are standards available in this course that look at Māori culture and customs and how that knowledge can be used in the tourism sector. Students are able to select the standards that they are interested in.
Students do not have to have taken Tourism at Level 2 to take it at Level 3.
Tourism is not a University Entrance subject, but the credits gained here will contribute to your overall NCEA Level 3.
