NCEA Level 2 English Communication

Introduction

Senior English Communication continues your journey in becoming an expert in reading, writing and spoken interaction. What we do in this course depends on you. We will work together to build a course that meets your needs and interests; whether they be University Entrance, learning how to do interviews, building your confidence in reading, or beginning to look at Media Studies and Marketing. We will aim for at least 14 credits across the year. You can take BOTH English Communication and English Literature.

Course Outline

This course is very much a "pick a path" situation where you choose to complete standards that will benefit your future pathway. Close viewing based on a student selected film is the first assessment and students move into their individual standards from there.

Some examples of what is available are listed below - students can do a combination of standards from BOTH lists.
