NCEA Level 2 English

Introduction

Level 2 English Literature pushes you to continue to develop critical thinking and analysis skills through works of literature, including written and visual texts. You will continue to refine your skills around analysing texts by applying various lenses and looking at more than one side of the story. This course continues to look at what it means to be human and develops the independent study skills required to be successful at university and all other tertiary settings. Both internal and external assessments are on offer and you will work with your teacher to choose the assessments which will best showcase your strengths and work towards your goals.

During term three we will focus on building our formal writing skills. Students will look at how to effectively communicate in written form. We will then use these skills to prepare for the external examinations. Assessment opportunities include: Writing Portfolio.
