A hypertext is a text, usually digital, that is non linear - meaning that there are a lot of different ways to follow through a story.
They're like those choose your own adventure books that you read when you were a little kid - you get some options as a reader and they change the way you read the story and the story that you get read.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO WORK ON A HYPERTEXT, YOU CAN DO THIS IN GROUPS - you only need to clearly label which part each group member wrote and each group member needs to meet the word requirement (500 words for L2 and 600 words for L3)
It's something a bit different and can help you to think about the structure (order of your ideas) of your story really clearly. It will also help you to focus on how you transition to different parts of your story as well as helping you to really carefully plan your story - planning always leads to better stories and this can't be done without careful planning.
