What a fantastic effort by everyone concerned and all those who visited on Sunday. A great time was had by all and a massive "Thank You" to all our sponsors and people and companies who gifted prizes for the raffles. Over $7000 raised.
Welcome back to a new term and some new challenges. Last year, my first year at the school, saw us start to build up momentum by establishing both systems and programmes aimed at improving the school experience for all children and to raise achievement across the school.
This year we have adopted the saying "If children can't learn the way we teach, then let's teach the way they learn"
Already there have been positive changes and the staff are excited about challenging the children to think outside the square and to use their creativity.
Our two junior classes have introduce Play Based Learning and once again we see children instinctively collaborating and problem solving but most important, asking questions that they want answers to.
We believe that this approach will provide children with the skills to use inquiry learning as they progress through the school.
