Wahiawa Middle School
Aloha Wahiawa Middle School Parents and Guardians,
In mid-September, the Hawaii Department of Health released metrics to help schools determine when to return to blended learning (attending school in-person for track days and virtually for off-track days). Using this metric, as a school, we are paying careful attention to the current status of COVID-19 on the island of Oahu. At the start of quarter two, we will continue with students learning virtual from home with identified vulnerable students coming to the school campus for in-person learning. Counselors and administrators will contact parents/guardians of those vulnerable students. We plan to reassess the situation during the first week of November (4th week of Q2) regarding plans to have more students attend school in-person.
At this time, we are asking parents and guardians to complete a survey telling us whether you intend to send your child to campus for in-person learning on their child's scheduled track days (Green and Blue tracks) if we can move forward with bringing more students to campus on designated days. Please complete this survey by Tuesday, October 6, 2020.
Student Perception Survey
Wahiawa Middle School will be conducting a Student Perception Survey beginning November 2, 2020. This survey is intended to allow our students the opportunity to share their voice on how they feel about school climate and other areas that impact their education.
