Health Education

Health Education is a one semester course required by New York State to graduate.  It is open to students in grades 9-12.  This course provides students with an opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes that promote lifelong, health –enhancing behaviors.  The High School curriculum builds upon the foundation of the Middle School Health program.  Areas of study include personal health, mental/emotional health, nutrition and physical activity, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, growth and development, family life, diseases, injury prevention and safety.
