Splatanas

Splatanas are similar to brushes, in that they both wipe the weapon and become a problem to the other team. A big difference between them is the ability to charge your Splatana which allows a whole new mobility option or kill option, and the fact that they all have lots of range. Splatanas have 3 different attacks. They can "tapshot" or swing the sword left and right, shooting a straight ink shot forward. There is also the charge slash, which is done by holding down the attack button. The charge for all Splatanas is pretty fast, which will shoot out a crescent-shaped ink trail forward. Up close, this attack one-shots. They all one-shot landing the close-up hitbox on somebody, but can typically be hard to land. And finally, there is the charge lunge, which is just the charge slash but when moving forwards. This propels your character forward and finishes the attack with a slash at the end. Splatanas also do well with comboing off of things and mainly is how they get kills on the battlefield.

Splatana Stamper/ Order Splatana Replica

Splatana stamper is a slightly slower but stronger Splatana. It has Burst Bomb and Zipcaster, which are great for getting far-off enemies who think they can escape the wrath of the Splatana Stamper. Its charged hit still charges fast, and its killing range is even better. Using the burst bomb when being teamed up is a great way to get out of a sticky situation. You can also use a burst bomb directly after landing a long-distance charge slash to get a guaranteed kill. The same thing applies to Zipcaster, where you can combo out of a slash. Zipcaster can also be used efficiently with this weapon. Zipping up to somebody will almost always kill them, due to how this weapon one shots from close distances, so you can use Zicaster to get closer to your opponents Overall, this weapon has arguably some of the best combos in the game. It gets a lot of competitive usage, and yeah, it is the best splatana.

Splatana Stamper Nouveau

Same thing as the normal Splatana Stamper, but it has Toxic Mist and Crab Tank. Toxic Mist can be good on it and allows you to get even easier one-shot kills. Crab Tank is amazing with this weapon, so try to combo off of the explosive shots of the crab tank with your charge slash.

Splatana Wiper

Splatana wiper is an ok-ish weapon for covering turf, but it is mainly used for killing. It has Torpedo and Ultra Stamp as its sub-weapon and special which are also ok-ish. You can hold ZR and it will charge the weapon, making it a one-hit kill. This hit is hard to land but is still worth it to get the kill and help your team. In order to get kills, you will need to play around the map, and use corners or high areas to land sneak attacks on other people. This weapon is the weapon that all support weapons lean on, and it makes sense why, it is a dangerous weapon to be near, and along with support allows for an unbeatable team.

Splatana Wiper Deco

Splatana Wiper Deco is a more support focused splatana, and its kit consists of squid beakon and tenta missiles. This weapons playstyle plans for the future, where you need to place down squid beakons around the map to prepare for enemy advances or pushes, but tenta missiles also help with escort and kills. Although this weapon may not have the most aggressive kit, you still should try to use the main weapon's great defense.

Mint Decavitator

Mint decavitator functions so different from other splatanas that Nintendo needed to make new animations for it. This splatana is the heaviest splatana, but can be a very big pain to deal with. Most splatanas charge slashes are vertical, but this one is horizontal, meaning that if you aren't above or below it, then you're screwed. Its charge slash also has a humongous one shot hitbox, and can even hit through some walls, so its best to be dealt with by snipers. Even then, its charge lunge sends it very far, and can be reversed to create mixups. And with all of this power that this weapon has, it still got suction bomb and big bubbler to deal with counterplay. So if I were to give any tips for it, use it mostly on tower control, and guard the tower with your many, many defensive tools.

Charcoal Decavitator

The Charcoal Decavitator is just the vanilla Decavitator, but it can be used better in other modes. This Decavitator has Splash Wall for defense while barraging with charge slashes, and has Inkjet for defense. This Decavitator is somewhat harder and easier to deal with at the same time for reasons that I just can't explain.
