A roller is a very offensive weapon, with decent paint coverage. To use a roller, you press zr, which will cause you to horizontally flick the roller flat on the ground. Doing this in midair will cause you to do a vertical flick, which is usually great at poking and has a much greater one-shot range, but has no horizontal coverage. Finally, there is rolling. Rolling can be done by holding down the zr button, which will cause you to leave the roller on the ground. In this state, you can move at your own will with the roller rolling in front of you. This typically isn't that useful, but some rollers can use this to super jump camp. The main thing about the roller class is that every roller comes with a strength and a weakness. Some can paint well but are weak, some can kill easily but are slow, and some fast but can't kill as well. The main drawback of this weapon is the bad range and the fact that it is hard to get out of your opponent's ink because the horizontal swipe usually doesn't cover the ink at your feet. Rollers are usually slow, so they have to try to protect themselves when going in for an attack. Rollers also require a lot of support usually, but when they get that support, it essentially becomes a god weapon. Taking advantage of Bubblers and Tacticoolers are essential for the roller.

Carbon roller is a super fast roller that can one-shot easily. Its roll speed is also decently fast. This roller does not have much range, so its vertical flick is necessary for some matchups. Its kit is great for mixing up your opponent and getting an easy one-shot. Its kit is Autobomb and Zipcaster, a decently good kit mainly focused on forcing the enemy to deal with you. To play this weapon, sharking is almost always the way to go. Just chill in the ink and wait for any unknowing enemies who come close.

Carbon roller deco is like a normal carbon roller but has a much better kit. It has the same damage and stats but this time, it has Burst Bomb and Trizooka. Burst Bombs make great mid-range combos with the main weapon while Trizooka is great for killing at long distances and starting a push through mid. The best way to play this weapon is by equipping squid ninja and hiding in the ink so that when an enemy goes past you, you pop out and kill them. Because of its speed, this weapon can beat most of the other rollers, so make sure to abuse that fact because many new players play rollers.

Splat roller is a very basic weapon, and is usually a weapon most people like. It's great at sharking due to its quick speed and strength, and it can one-shot decently far. Its vertical flick has much more range than its wide-ranged horizontal. Using its vertical flick to poke from a distance or behind walls can make you an incredible threat from a distance, so using it effectively can be detrimental to the other team. Splat roller was given a generic beginner's kit, that being Curling Bomb and Big Bubbler. combining sharking with a tossed Curling Bomb is sure to catch your target off guard. Big Bubbler is going to be used mostly supportively on Splat Roller, so don't just go wasting your Bubblers by hogging it for yourself in the enemy base. Use your Bubbler to defend your team.

Krak-On Splat Roller is a fun roller that introduces the Kraken special. It has Squid Beakon and Kraken. The main weapon and its special are amazing for killing and its sub is good for helping your team. Make sure to put down a Squid Beakon on your way toward the center of the map, and use Kraken when you are in trouble, or to lead a push. This is a good beginner or advanced weapon.

Dynamo roller is the slowest roller in the game, but it is also the strongest and it can kill extremely easily. Despite its kill range, this weapon is supposed to play supportively, and its kit helps. Its kit consists of the sprinkler and the tacticooler, which are both good on this weapon and are great support tools. Dynamo also has a trash vertical flick, which is super slow and has a very thin hitbox. This means that most of the time, you will want to intentionally avoid using its verticle flick, so you have to use multiple different types of tech to do midair horizontal flicks.

Gold dynamo roller is the same as the dynamo roller but it has splat bomb and super chump, which I like even more than its old kit. They make this weapon slightly worse in the support game, but make it even better at killing. Throw out a splat bomb whenever you are in trouble (believe me, that's gonna happen a lot with this weapon) There isn't really anything to say about super chump though. Just use it to cover key areas in turf or to mess with the other team.

This roller comes with a slower but more powerful vertical flick for making paths to quickly swim in. This weapon's kit is the Ink Mine and Tenta Missiles. This weapon's vertical flick is very good at covering turf, so one way to play it is spamming vertical flicks to get a ton of turf and tenta missiles. This weapon is also good at sharking, and repeatedly splatting your enemies. While spamming the vertical swipe, it charges your special, which reveals opponent locations and then splatting them. Ink Mine also gets this job done, set them near the middle of the opponent's base and the area currently controlled (most likely the middle) and when opponents step on them their location will be revealed for easy splating. Going in to set the ink mine is dangerous, but can lead to free kills. Play this weapon by revealing your opponent's location, spamming vertical swipes, and most importantly, splatting.

Foil Flingza Roller has a really good kit, and finally can be used for offense. It has Suction Bomb and Splattercolor Screen, a kit that any weapon would do well with. But I gotta say, it's a lot better than Ink mine and Tenta Missiles. This weapon is good at getting multiple kills at once, and is very multi purpose in that sense.

Big Swig roller is a support roller, that covers an unbelievably large amount of turf per flick. Big Swig is the second fastest roller and covers a lot of turf with its horizontal flicks. But since this roller is a support, it naturally would be bad at defending itself. It does have its vertical flick, which is fast and has lots of range, but it still isn't good. That's where the kit comes in. It has Splash Wall and Ink Vac, both great for rushing in and getting kills. I like to use Splash Wall and then spam vertical flicks so I can get the most ranged protection I can get.

Big Swig Roller Express is a semi-aggressive roller with a worse kit than the Big Swig Roller. It has Angle Shooter and ink storm, which make it more of a support weapon than what rollers typically are. Mainly focus on covering turf with this weapon, and that's probably the best you are gonna do with it.
