Brellas are like a shotgun and come with the ability to pull out a shield for protection. Almost all Brellas have to press zr repeatedly to fire but with one exception. all brellas' shields have a certain amount of hp until they break, so make sure you don't break it or else you will be defenseless for a few seconds. If you would like, you can fire off the shield, and chase it along to fire and still be safe. Brellas are great at defense and support, some better than others. Killing a Brella is easy, due to how they rely on their teammates and typically get the worst stats out of the entire team. Brellas are the worst class in Splatoon, and few are good.
Splat brella is a unique weapon, with it having many functionalities. It's good at pushing and rushing but isn't that good at covering turf. Its main usage is kill power, and it counters a lot of weapons that usually have no counter. Because of its tanky shield, you can run up and get kills without getting hit once. to do this, press zr and hold, then release and repeat the process, then you should be a menace to the other team. However, if you plan to do this, avoid blasters, splatanas, and sloshers because they can be impossible to deal with.

Sorella brella has a fun kit for a brella, that being autobomb and inkjet. These are great for pushing, and I recommend them in maps where pushing is tight, like Robo Ram-en, or Mako Mart.

Tenta brella is a very supportive weapon. This brella is very useful for pushing through a choke point with its large moving tent shield. This works great in Rainmaker to push towards the objective. Ink vac also plays a huge effort in this weapon. Using the tent shield and then quickly using ink vac while behind the tent shield, gives a great opportunity for your team to push forward. Don't forget squid beakon which can be placed in different spots on the map to super jump to which can assist your team. Overall, this is a really supportive weapon.

Tenta Sorella Brella is, of course, the same as vanilla Tenta Brella but with Trizooka and Ink Mine. You can use the same strategy as Tenta Brella, that is using your tent shield and special at the same time to add sicarios pressure to your opponents and a huge pushing advantage for your team. Ink mine could arguably be better for tenta brella but it's mostly preference. This weapon also thrives in tower control and Rainmaker. Tenta Sorella Brella is very good overall and makes it the best Brella in the game.

Undercover Brella is a template for a bad weapon. It has Ink Mine and Reefslider, which don't do much for the weapon. This brella is the only one that doesn't release the shield after holding it, and instead rapidly fires weak shots with a permanently lasting shield in the front. It isn't good at doing anything, so that's all I have to say.

Same thing as the undercover Brella, but its kit can work with the main weapon properly. It has Torpedo and Splattercolor Screen, which make it a lot more fun to play. Torpedo is good for racking up damage and comboing into a kill, while Splattercolor Screen is good at holding the opposite team off, or rushing. A good thing to do during this special is to spam torpedoes through it. It is really intimidating.

Recycled Brella is a fast, powerful brella that you do not want to trifle with. It's designed to be an example of huge tradeoff for weapon stats, and in this case, It trades its usability of its shield for it's speed and strength. Using its shield will almost immediately fire it off, so its useless. Not to mention how weak its shield is, It breaks instantly. Its kit is based off of replacing its shield and leaving it less punishable and removing its vulnerability. This kit is Angle Shooter and Big Bubbler, and allows better defense and better usage of the weapon.

Recycled Brella 24 Mk II is pretty good for beginners, and its kit reflects that. This weapon has toxic mist and triple splashdown. Toxic mist makes it significantly easier to land shots and also makes it harder for the affected person to land shots, which is nice because of its terrible protection from its flimsy canopy. Combining the triple splashdown as another way to get your opponents to flee from you when they get too close with its very high damage output, you've got yourself a weapon to be feared.
