Quantum enthusiast? Or maybe just curious about this exciting field? This event is for you - join us on November 8th-9th at Virginia Tech for a quantum computing hackathon, an official Qiskit Fall Fest event hosted by the Virginia Tech Center for Quantum Information Science and Engineering (VTQ)!
If you're reading this, are over 18 years old, and have used Python before, you're welcome to join! No prior background in quantum computing is required - we hope that this event can be a fun and friendly intro to newcomers, with problems suited to all skill levels.
Registration open until Friday 31st of October.
ApplicationReady to commit to the challenge? Read the rules here and apply using this form! One member should apply on behalf of each team. Applications will close on November 5th. There is a limited number of spots - apply now to increase your chance of getting one! Teams will be notified of acceptance or rejection by e-mail.PrizesWe have $1000 worth of awards for the winners. These include trophies and gift cards for local stores. All participants will receive an official certificate of participation by IBM Quantum. ScheduleIn addition to the hacking, this event will feature a live introduction to quantum computing with Qiskit by Samantha Barron, IBM researcher and VT alumna.
