Overall Guidelines

This contest challenges youth or families (teams of youth and adults) to create a dish using a few assigned ingredients and what you have at home. From these ingredients, individuals/teams must prepare a dish, then briefly (5 minutes or less) describe their dish, cooking techniques, food/kitchen safety practices and nutrition value of ingredients.


Objectives

  • Provide opportunities for participants to exhibit their knowledge and skill when preparing and presenting a dish.

  • Provide opportunities for participants to learn from other team members.

  • Promote teamwork and family fun.



There are two categories for this year's virtual contest - an individual contest and a family contest. Please see the individual contest pages for rules specific to each category.
