Accelerated Math:

This week we continued learning about area.  We found the area of composite shapes in a Glow room (check out pictures on the Student Work and Accomplishments tab) on Thursday and took a quiz over our understanding of area on Friday. Grades will be updated in Infinite Campus.

Reading

In Reading, students have been reading and analyzing texts based on wolves in both fiction and nonfiction. Next week, we begin our new Amplify website.

Writing

In Writing, students just took their first test over part 1 of Adventures of Ulysses. They are continuing their reading of the story by acting out another chapter.

This week we practiced claim, evidence, and reasoning as well as graphing. We finished the week by starting our weather unit. We watched how tornadoes, thunderstorms, lightning, and thunder occur. On Friday we made posters on the water cycle.
