Accelerated Math:

This week we started our Topic 7 over area of polygons, surface area and volume. We found area of parallelograms, triangles, trapezoids, and kites. Next week we find composite areas and have a quiz on Friday. 

6 Math: 

This week we started our Topic 7 over area of polygons, surface area and volume. We found area of parallelograms and triangles. Next week we find area of additional polygons and  composite areas. We will have a quiz on Friday. 

Reading

In Reading, students are learning and reading about wolves as a quick unit before we begin our next online program.

Writing

Students are wrapping up Part 1 of our literature set. Once we come back from Easter, they will take a test over the first six chapters of the book.

This week we learned about heat transfer and worked more on our solar ovens. We finished the week making ice cream to see how  heat transfer happen.

Our 6th grade world geography course! Dive deep into the fascinating realm of global water issues, exploring rivers, lakes, and oceans that shape our planet. From understanding water scarcity to learning about conservation efforts, students will uncover the importance of water in shaping cultures, economies, and ecosystems worldwide.

We finished presenting about Hurricane Katrina this week. We began our unit on tornadoes with a nearpod about storms.
