Geography
Our 8th-grade World Geoegraphy students are currently immersed in the Indian and Asian monsoon seasons. As they uncover the science behind these climatic phenomena, students are gaining a deeper understanding of their profound impact on the region's ecosystems and cultures. Through interactive lessons and engaging activities, our students are connecting geography with meteorology, broadening their global perspectives and appreciating the vital role these monsoons play in shaping the diverse landscapes of Asia.
Geography
This week brings our unit on Hurricane Katrina to a close! We will create a project and debate as a class about where the fault lies with Katrina: the citizens, the local government (Mayor), or the federal government (FEMA).
Next, we will dive into a study of tornadoes - specifically Joplin, MO.
As always, reach out with questions.
