February 12 - 16, 2024

Accelerated Math:

This week we were using dimensional analysis to convert between units of measures. We will finish Topic 5 and test on Friday February 23. 

6 Math: 

This week we finished Topic 5, we reviewed for our test on Wednesday and the review sheet is posted in Google Classroom. Students need to study and make sure they are ready for the test on Wednesday February 21. 

Reading

In Reading, students are beginning to practice with a brand new tool that all Reading classes are piloting called StudySync. All of our work and lessons are out of it and it is a learning curve for everyone.

Writing

In Writing, students are finishing up their Civil Rights unit. It is very important to make sure that all assignments, especially summative writing assignments, be completed.

This week we learned about thermal expansion and contraction. We did an elephant toothpaste experiment and Valentine's day graph analysis. Next week, homework is due on Tuesday. We will learn about conduction, convection, and radiation.
