My name is Shelby Spry and I am our Special Education Coordinator and Middle School SPED teacher for SY 24-25! This is my third year teaching and fifth year working at Voyageurs School. Our mission is to provide students with the necessary tools to lead productive lives through hands-on learning, service to others, and environmental stewardship. We are a small school and hope to create an inclusive community and specialized instruction for all students with and without disabilities. This website has information and resources available to students and families regarding special education at Voyageurs and special education in general.

Boozhoo!! My name is Valahlena Steeprock. I'm a highschool graduate of the 2019 Voyageurs Expeditionary School, I'm a mother of a 5-year-old daughter, and I'm part of the MMIW218 organization in Bemidji, the Governors appointed me to be a member of the young women's initiative board out of the state of Minnesota, it's my first year as a paraprofessional at Voyageurs Expeditionary School. I'm so grateful to be a part of the school and to be there for the students. I'm ready to give back to Voyageurs School!! Miigwech
My name is Kathy. I have 5 children, 4 girls, and 1 boy, all grown and have a family of their own. Bob and I just got a German Shepard puppy to add to the family. I have been a dancer for over 40 years with Diane’s Dance Studio and help with teaching of all ages. With many other public-related jobs, I am very excited to be part of the Voyageurs Community.
I am Cynthia Zorman and this is my 4th year as a paraprofessional - 2nd year at Voyageurs! I moved to the area from Warroad a year ago when I married my husband, Dan, who is a volunteer here. We have a blended family of 6 amazing kids. I love biking, kayaking, podcasts, Star Wars, naps, and cheese.

Hi there! My name is Taylor Johnson. I am the new high school resource room teacher. I am new to Voyageurs, but am starting my 9th year as a special education teacher. I am passionate about helping students prepare for life after high school, whatever their path may look like. I am so excited to be a part of such an awesome team and am looking forward to getting to know the students and families throughout the school year!
