Oceans and Climate Change

Driving Question

Climate change is a global issue. How can we reduce our impact locally?

(answered on spheres pages)

What is Climate Change?

Climate change, or global warming, is the warming of the temperatures on Earth. Climate change is caused by the increase in industrial technologies that burn fossil fuels for energy. Burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas so it traps heat on Earth. The oceans are one of the most affected areas by climate change. There are many issues climate change is causing, most of which are bad. Some of the problems climate change is creating are acidification of the ocean and sea level rise.
