Social Studies: Students will continue our unit on Regions of the US. We will read about the Midwest Region land/climate/products.
Students will take an open notes quiz on the information that we read.
We will continue practicing figurative language.
Students will complete a practice page identifying different types of figurative language.
Thursday 5/11: Morning Work: Hercules and the Farmer passage with questions.
We will continue our review of reading skills taught this year. Today we will review poetry.
Students will view a powerpoint about types of poetry.
Students will work on completing centers about poetry.
Those students who need additional targeted practice with this standard will be pulled for small group instruction with Mrs. Richling.
We will continue our cursive packets.
Friday 5/12: Comprehension test (formative grade)
Students will continue learning about the 4 different types of poetry (free verse, rhymed verse, haiku, limerick).
