We will continue our review of reading skills taught this year. Today we will review central (main) idea.
Students will view a powerpoint about central idea.
Students will go over their vocabulary words and complete the vocabulary define and draw.
Students will work on completing centers in small groups about central idea.
Those students who need additional targeted practice with this standard will be pulled for small group instruction with Mrs. Richling.
We will continue our cursive packets.
Tuesday 4/18: Morning Work: The President's Home passage with questions.
We will continue our central idea powerpoint from Monday.
Students will continue to work on task cards for central idea.

Wednesday 4/19: Morning Work: The Capitol Building passage with questions.
Social Studies: Students will continue our unit on Regions of the US. We will read about the Southeast Region culture.
Students will take an open notes quiz on the information that we read.
We will review prefixes with a powerpoint and taking notes in our companions.
Thursday 4/20: Morning Work: Lucinda's Lemonade Stand passage with questions.
We will review the skill of author's perspective/claim by viewing a powerpoint.
Students will go in small groups and complete author's perspective/claim task cards.
Those students who need additional targeted practice with this standard will be pulled for small group instruction with Mrs. Richling.
Friday 4/21: Morning Work: Vocabulary/Comprehension Assessment
We will continue discussing author's perspective/claim by viewing a powerpoint.
Students will finish up any centers/task cards from earlier in the week in small groups.
