Monday 2/27: Morning Work: The Giant Panda/Red Panda passage with questions.
Students will learn about author's purpose and how to identify the reason why the author wrote a text.
Students will practice their new spelling words for the week.
Students will continue presenting their Black History research posters.
Tuesday 2/28: Morning Work: Antarctica/North Pole passage with questions.
We will continue the author's purpose powerpoint whole group and complete the companion.
Students will go over vocabulary words and complete the define and draw. Students will finish up presenting their Black History posters.
Wednesday 3/1: Morning Work: Are Chimpanzees and Humans Related/Gui, the Baby Chimp passage with questions.
Social Studies: Students will read about supply & demand and saving and spending.
Students will take an open notes quiz on the information that we read.
Thursday 3/2: Morning Work: Alaska/Rhode Island passage with questions.
We will continue the author's purpose and complete the companion.
Students will complete practice with author's purpose on task cards in small group.
Friday 3/3: Morning Work: The Arctic Tern/A Tiny Migrator passage with questions.
Students will complete a spelling, vocabulary and author's purpose assessment.
