We will continue our poetry powerpoint and complete guided notes. We will go over rhymed verse poems and the characteristics it has. We will
practice our new vocabulary words.
Wednesday 2/8: Morning Work: An Unusual Child passage with questions.
We will continue our poetry powerpoint and complete guided notes. We will go over haiku poems and the characteristics it has. Students will read the haiku poem and answer the questions in their poetry packets.
Writing: We will begin our writing on what we love most about our class.
Thursday 2/9: Morning Work: Renny the Rat passage with questions.
We will continue the poetry powerpoint and complete the companion. We will go over limerick poems and the characteristics it has.
Students will practice their spelling and complete the limerick poem & questions in their packets.
Friday 2/10: Morning Work: Renny the Rat Teaches Jack passage with questions.
Students will complete a spelling, vocabulary, and poetry assessment.
Social Studies: We will read the text about supply and demand (page 5).
