Morning Work: The Human Eye passage with questions.
We will begin our unit on nonfiction text features by viewing a powerpoint and complete the companion as we discuss the types of text features.
Students will complete a spelling practice page and vocabulary practice.
Wednesday 1/18: FAST testing: Math
Morning Work: The Human Eye passage with questions (afternoon class).
The afternoon ELA class will complete the same activities as the morning class did on Tuesday following testing.
Thursday 1/19: Morning Work: The Rain Storm passage with questions.
Social Studies: We will read the text about Types of Maps (pages 13-14)
Students will take an open notes quiz following reading/discussion
Students will add to their Geography lapbook.
We will continue our "If I Was Trapped in a Snowglobe" writing with editing and composing a final draft.
Friday 1/13: Morning Work: Christmas Cards for Kids passage with questions.
Students will complete a spelling, vocabulary, and assessment on Nonfiction Text Features.
