Monday 1/2: No School- Student Holiday
Tuesday 1/3: Morning Work: Baxter and the Porcupine passage with questions.
We will begin our unit on Context Clues by beginning our powerpoint and completing a companion as we discuss the 5 types of context clues.
Students will write about goals they have for 2023.
Wednesday 1/4: Morning Work: Shelby and the Nutcracker passage with questions.
Social Studies- Geography
Models of the Earth- We will read about different models of the earth and the problems they pose.
Students will create a lapbook of continents, oceans, and different types of maps as a collection of their learning as we go throughout this unit.
Thursday 1/5: Morning Work: Clearing Brush on the Ranch passage with questions.
We will continue our unit on Context Clues by beginning our powerpoint and complete a companion as we discuss the 5 types of context clues.
Students will complete the Crazy Clues worksheet with partners to practice context clues. Following, they will also complete the Wacky Words worksheet.
Friday 1/6: Morning Work: Summer with Gramps passage with questions.
We will continue our unit on Context Clues by beginning our powerpoint and complete a companion as we discuss the 5 types of context clues.
Students will independently read the "Day in My Life" story and answer questions to practice context clues. We will work on completing
any unfinished work for the week.
