VOLIO Co., Ltd. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” “our”) developed the Muslim Qibla App as a Free app. When you use our mobile application, as the case may be (the "App") and more generally, use any of our services (the "Services", which include the App), I appreciate that you are trusting me with your personal information. I take your privacy very seriously. In this privacy notice, I seek to explain to you in the clearest way possible what information I collect, how I use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. I hope you take some time to read through it carefully, as it is important. If there are any terms in this privacy notice that you do not agree with, please discontinue use of our Services immediately. 

This privacy notice applies to all information collected through our Services (which, as described above, includes our App), as well as, any related services, sales, marketing, or events. I use Your Personal data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

At our company, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and transparency in our privacy practices. As such, we have established three core principles that guide us in delivering exceptional service to our valued clients.

We use this data to respond to you and address your concern, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We may also collect data through automated means, which we'll explain below.

2. Information relating to your device and the App settings

As part of our service, we collect and process various types of information, including personal data, when you use our App. Here is a summary of the information we collect:

• Device-specific information: We may collect information about your device, such as its brand and model, operating system version, language, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

• Geolocation information: We may collect your geolocation information, including IP addresses, GPS data, and network services data, which is necessary for some features of the App, such as the Qibla finder. However, we never retain this information and it is only transferred to our servers when required by the App.

• Application-specific information: We may collect information related to the App, including the application version number, activity on the App, and subscription status.

• Analytics: We use analytics services, such as Google Firebase and Google Analytics for Firebase, to collect information about how the App is used.

There are circumstances beyond our control, such as unauthorized interception or access, malfunctioning technology, or misuse by third parties, which may result in the unauthorized access or disclosure of your information. HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT?

At Muslim Qibla, we take your privacy seriously and collect information to ensure you have a safe experience using our services. Here are the ways we may use your information:

1. To Provide Better Services of Muslim Qibla

We use the information we collect to provide personalized features and content, such as prayer directions and accurate prayer times for your region, in-app interface, culturally appropriate content, and user's language.

2.  Safety, Integrity and Security

We use the foregoing information we collect to verify accounts and activity, combat harmful conduct, detect and prevent viruses, plug-ins, Trojans, or other malicious programs or software. These safeguard measures maintain the integrity and good business environment of Muslim Qibla, which provides you with better service experiences.

3.  Advertising

We and Our third-party advertisers use your Personal Information to serve you with advertisements that may interest you, in conjunction with our third-party advertisers.

4. Communication

We may use your information to contact you regarding changes related to the Services, as well as to maintain our services and respond to your support requests, questions, and issues.

5. Legal

We may use your information to comply with legal obligations, protect our intellectual property (including our copyright and trademarks), enforce our Terms of Use, and cooperate with regulators and law enforcement bodies.

• Receive your data and have it transferred to another controller: You have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and, if technically feasible, to have it transmitted to another controller without any hindrance.

These requests can be exercised free of charge, and the Owner will address them as early as possible and always within one month. If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you can object to that processing at any time without providing any justification.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING

Personalize Advertisement

We utilize Google Ads for advertising purposes. Google may use the advertising ID from your device to gather interest and demographic data, which may then be used to serve better-targeted ads that reflect personalized advertising. Please be assured that the ads we display to you are not personalized, and we do not share any information with third parties. We have chosen to incorporate ads into our app as our revenue model is based on advertising. To ensure a positive user experience, if you encounter any ads that are inappropriate or do not align with your preferences, you have the ability to report or block them directly within Muslim Qibla.

Retention of your information

In order to provide transparency and clarity about the processing and storage of Personal Data, we adhere to the following guidelines:

• Personal Data will be processed and stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.

• If the Personal Data was collected for the performance of a contract between the Owner and the User, it will be retained until the contract has been fully executed.

• If the Personal Data was collected for the purposes of the Owner's legitimate interests, it will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes. Users can obtain information about the Owner's legitimate interests by referring to the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Owner directly.

• Personal Data may be retained for a longer period if the User has given consent to such processing, provided that the consent is not withdrawn. The Owner may also be required to retain Personal Data for a longer period to comply with legal obligations or orders from authorities.

• After the retention period expires, Personal Data will be deleted. This means that the right to access, erasure, rectification, and data portability cannot be enforced once the retention period has expired.

In order to provide transparency about how we use Personal Data, we collect data for the following purposes and services:

Advertising:

• User data may be used for advertising communication purposes, such as displaying banners and advertisements on this Application based on User interests.

• However, not all Personal Data is used for advertising, and specific information and conditions of use are outlined below.

• Some services listed may use Cookies or Identifiers to identify Users or use behavioral retargeting to display ads tailored to the User's interests, even outside this Application. Please refer to the relevant service's privacy policies for more information.

• Users may opt-out of certain advertising features through device settings or by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

AdMob (Google Ireland Limited)

AdMob is an advertising service provided by GoogleIreland Limited.

In order to understand Google's use of Data, consult Google's partner policy.

Personal Data processed: Cookies; unique device identifiers for advertising (Google Advertiser ID or IDFA, for example); Usage Data.

Analytics:

• We use services that enable us to monitor and analyze web traffic and User behavior.

• Google Analytics for Firebase is an analytics service provided by Google LLC that we use. To understand Google's use of Data, please consult Google's partner policy.

• Firebase Analytics may share Data with other tools provided by Firebase, and Users may opt-out of certain Firebase features through device settings or other sections of this privacy policy.

• We use identifiers for mobile devices and technologies similar to cookies to run the Firebase Analytics service.

Additional information about User's Personal Data

This Application may provide the User with additional and contextual information regarding specific Services or the handling of Personal Data upon request, in addition to the information provided in this privacy policy.

System logs and maintenance

To ensure the smooth operation of this Application and any third-party services, we may collect System logs that record user interactions, as well as other Personal Data (such as IP addresses). This is necessary for maintenance purposes.

How “Do Not Track” requests are handled

Please note that this Application does not support "Do Not Track" requests. If you want to know whether any of the third-party services we use honor "Do Not Track" requests, we recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.

COOKIES

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers that a website or mobile application transfers to your hard drive or mobile device to store and sometimes track information about you. Although cookies do identify a user’s device, cookies do not personally identify users.

Respecting your privacy, our App does not use any cookies.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. 

Our Services use cookies to distinguish you from other users of our App. This helps me to provide you with a good experience when you use our Services and also allows me to improve our Services.

Types of cookies Service Provider  may use:

• Strictly necessary cookies: these are cookies required for the operation of a website and App, such as enabling you to log into secure areas.

• Performance cookies: these types of cookies recognize and count the number of visitors to a website and users of an App and see how users move around in each. This information is used to improve the way the website and App work.

• Functionality cookies: these cookies recognize when you return to a website or App, enable personalized content and recognize and remember your preferences.

• Targeting cookies: These cookies record your visit to a website or App, including the individual pages visited and the links followed.

Generally, the strictly necessary cookies and some performance and functionality cookies only last for expiring when you close an App; the functionality cookies and some targeting and performance cookies may last for a longer period of time.

Some of the cookies used by our App may be set by us, and some are set by third parties who are delivering services on our behalf. For example, I use Google Analytics to track what users do on the App so I can improve the design and functionality.

Most mobile devices and apps automatically accept cookies but, if you prefer, you can change your device or app settings to prevent that or to notify you each time a cookie is set. Please note, however, that (as with other apps) by blocking or deleting cookies used on the  App you may not be able to take full advantage of the Services.

If you choose to refuse cookies of our Service, you can remove cookies on your device or immediately cease your use of our Service. To erase cookies you will need to find the folder or file where they are stored on your device and delete them. Session cookies will automatically be deleted when you close the App.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA for short), our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Me with Personal Data, please contact Me. If I become aware that I have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, I take steps to remove that information from our servers.

If I need to rely on consent as a legal basis for processing Your information and Your country requires consent from a parent, I may require Your parent's consent before I collect and use that information.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy periodically. The use of the information we currently collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time of its use. In the event that we make changes that we believe will significantly affect your rights, we will notify you accordingly. In the absence of such notification, you agree to be bound by any modifications or updates to this Privacy Policy by continuing to utilize our Services.
