後端工程師 (PHP Laravel) Backend Engineer

Location: Taipei office
Type: Full-time

About the Role

We’re looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer with deep PHP/Laravel experience to help us build robust, scalable backend systems and APIs. If you're passionate about crafting clean architecture, optimizing performance, and mentoring others, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-evolving product environment.

What You’ll Do

Architect and develop reliable backend services and APIs to support scalable product features
Continuously evaluate, refactor, and enhance existing systems for performance and maintainability
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver delightful product experiences

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of professional backend development experience
Proven expertise in PHP and Laravel, with hands-on project or open-source contributions
Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including schema design and optimization
Experience designing systems with scalable architecture—such as robust APIs, high-throughput data pipelines, or efficient algorithmic processing
Hands-on experience working with and migrating legacy systems
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently navigate ambiguity
Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
Comfortable with writing unit and integration tests for production systems

Nice to Haves

Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools
Experience working with caching systems or big data tools (e.g., Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch)
Exposure to other backend technologies like Python/FastAPI, or Golang
Contributor to open-source projects or experience maintaining one
Fluency in English speaking
Strong interest in mentoring and helping other engineers grow
